Our cooking class is back again with some delicacy! We undergo some member change, since Olga wasn’t there and was replaced by Affra. Me, Sekar and Asha kind of become permanent members, since we were the most excited people about this cooking-class thing.
Since we did something sweet last week, this week we’re trying to make savory foods. Here comes Tuna Sushi & Sosis Solo (I don’t know what it called in English, though .___. )
Again, we cooked with a-little-bit-too-much confidence and this time making worse, limited tools since we hated cleaning up afterwards.
Fortunately, making sushi was easy-peasy, since it didn’t involve much cooking, just assembling the ingredients.
The sushi tastes good, DEFINITELY! Nothing can go wrong with sushi, right? ;;) I think we could make more but we run out of rice. *sigh* We had so much tuna and seaweed left, and the rest of the members dumped them in my house -_____-” I had to Google up some tuna dishes now.
The next dish is Sosis Solo. I couldn’t even remember why we were agreed to make 2 kind of dishes in the first place, and we nearly give up to make this dish because of laziness (Yes, we’re a bunch of couch potatoes) and this dish turned out to be the hardest (out of 3 dishes we’ve made so far).
We made the filling from shredded chicken, wrap it in the flour-based skin, and deep fried it. Spring-rolls-like but using quite different skin.
This one tastes great, too! Unexpectedly, we made too many but too lazy to fry them all. We decided to bring the raw wraps home and fried them by ourselves.
We didn’t expect the cooking process would take so long, from 12 pm until 4 pm-ish, I think. I personally benefited from this cooking-class activity, since I can reduce my time in front of the computer, drooling over some handsome Korean guys.
Hence, we had our fun and our food! Ways to go to become a great mother, a good cook and a great housewife!
